We understand that buying an item online is difficult and sometimes you may need to return a product you have purchased from SeaLantern, so to assist you, we have set out the SeaLantern Return Policy highlighting key points that you should know.
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
Before you return the item to us, get in touch with us for a return authorisation number and we will let you know which warehouse to send the item to.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Returned products must be in new condition with original packaging and all included accessories.
If the original packaging has been damaged, we will refund 80% of the products purchase price to cover repacking and Q.C. rechecking costs. We do not refund shipping costs, even if shipping cost is included in purchasing price.
For any product return, contact our service team at firstname.lastname@example.org to receive a Return Authorisation Number (RA #). The RA # should be quoted when enquiring about the progress for your return.
Any cost incurred by you in returning the item will be borne by the customer.
We suggest for the protection of all parties that a trackable shipping method is used.
Please retain your invoice.
In order to obtain a refund, exchange or to repair a product purchased from SeaLantern, you must have clear proof of purchase. If we cannot be satisfied that you purchased the product from us then, under the law, we are entitled to elect whether or not to accept your product for return.
When a product has been sent back , SeaLantern will determine whether:
- There is no fault found
- There is a minor fault which can be easily repaired within a reasonable time frame
- There is a major fault found and the customer is to be offered a replacement or a refund.
- The product has been damaged or abused through misuse.
- Where there is no fault found, the product will be returned to the customer. Return freight costs may apply.
- Unfortunately, SeaLantern cannot offer a refund or exchange where the product has sustained damage due to abnormal use, whether that has been identified by SeaLantern or an Authorised repair agent.
What should I do if I am having difficulties with getting my product to work
If you are experiencing problems operating your product, we strongly recommend that you contact us. It is our experience that often when customers believe the product they have purchased is faulty; it can be resolved with some basic 'troubleshooting'.
Repair Notice: Please be aware that, in some circumstances, goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the goods.

When a refund is granted, we will refund the original purchase price via the method of payment indicated on the invoice.
Freight costs are non refundable.
Refunds will be in AU Dollars, for currencies other than AU Dollars the exchange rate on the day of refund will be used. Any loss and charges due to currency change will be borne by the customer.
